Speaker: Jill Monthei, Hollister Law Office APC, has more than fifteen years of experience in the entertainment industry. She has held crucial roles as an in-house attorney for L.A. based entertainment powerhouse companies Kartoon Studios and PocketWatch, Inc., overseeing legal issues in production and distribution with a particular emphasis on intellectual property licensing for merchandising and television. Jill earned her law degree from the Santa Barbara College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Connecticut.

About the Event: Join us for an overview of key legal concepts in entertainment law from development to distribution, with an emphasis on licensing. The program will cover basic legal and business issues to consider when representing producers, creators, and talent in film and television productions. We’ll also discuss rights acquisition and creative, crew, talent, and production agreements, along with licensing for television/streaming and consumer products.
