The Superior Court, County of Santa Barbara intends to adopt the following forms for mandatory use in criminal cases:

CR-101 – Plea Form, with Explanations and Waiver of Rights – Felony

SC-3085 – Advisement of Rights, Waiver and Pela Form – Misdemeanor

SC-3001 – Addendum to Adivsement of Rights, Waver and Plea Form

Proposed Local Court Rules

Please Take Notice that the Superior Court, County of Santa Barbara intends to adopt new rules adn amend current rules regarding traffic cases. Pursuant to CRC 10.613(g)(3)(b), the court has posted the new and amended rules which will go into effect on January 1, 2016. Hard copies of the local rules are available upon request.

Commission on Judicial Performance – Annual Report

The Commission on Judicial Performance will be publishing its Annual Report.  The report provides comprehensive information on the Commission's authority and procedures and contains statistical data on Commission cases and summaries of disciplinary action.

Feeling the effects of court budget cutbacks? Voice your concern!

 

The California courts have been experiencing drastic budget cuts over the past few years. Since 2010, the courts have been faced with a one-third cut in operational funding, a majority of this absorbed at the trial court level. Results have included massive court closures and lengthy delays in hearings that require immediate action.

 

It is imperative that we continue to raise awareness of the negative consequences these cutbacks are creating. To make your concerns heard, please use the attached template and send the completed letter to your Senator and Assemblymember.
