Santa Barbara County and its neighbors to the north and south have robust startup communities. As new enterprises begin and expand their work, they need protection for their innovations. From concept and formation to exit and termination, our program will highlight key strategic considerations for developing and protecting intellectual property during the life of a company. The program will begin with an overview of patent, trademark, and copyright law, and will include practical considerations for intellectual property protection on a startup budget.
